Welcome to Cornerstone Financial Planning Ltd

We are Chris and Wendy Whitehead. We are married with three children and live and work in Burscough, a lovely small town in West Lancashire.

We have over 40 years of combined experience in providing financial advice to our clients and we are passionate about seeing people live life in all its fullness.

Cornerstone Financial Planning Ltd exists to help our clients enjoy life in the present and plan for the future.

How can you help?

Money and finance makes up a huge part of our lives, given the amount of time that goes into earning money, spending money and worrying about money (whether due to a lack of, or having the responsibility of what to do with an abundance of money).

Most people want to know that they are going to be OK and not run out of money and that the monies they have are organised and being used wisely.

We help our clients to clarify their goals, be organised with their finances, ensure that their pensions and investments are invested wisely, which allows our clients to focus on the other important areas of their lives.

Who do you serve?

Our clients are mainly located within a 15 mile radius of Burscough, although we have many clients who are based further afield across England, Scotland and Wales.

Our typical clients are either working towards, or have achieved a solid financial future and require advice with regards to their savings, pensions and investments and with how to pass on their wealth effectively.

We believe our services work best if you have investments, cash, trustee funds or pension funds with a total value over £500,000, or you earn over £100,000 per annum.

Why are you called Cornerstone Financial Planning?

Our aim is to give great advice. Who wouldn’t want that? We’ve benefited from receiving great advice ourselves.

We feel the best advice we’ve received is this… to orientate our lives towards Jesus Christ, to seek Him, know Him and follow Him.  He is our Cornerstone!

We believe Jesus is the Son of God, the foundation upon which to build our lives: steadfast, sure, unsinking, unchanging, a cornerstone. But unlike a stone, He is neither cold nor dead.

Jesus said, as recorded in John’s gospel, ‘eternal life’ is this, that they may know you [Father God] and know the one you sent [Jesus Christ]. Who wouldn’t want to know Him and what He has done?

Do you work only with Christians?

No. We have clients from different backgrounds: many who are followers of Jesus, some with a different faith, some without any faith.

Do you offer an annual review service?

Yes. All of our clients we meet with either six-monthly or annually, depending on their circumstances.

How do you receive payment?

Quite simply. We charge a flat fee for providing financial advice and a fixed percentage to implement our advice and for ongoing reviews.
