Welcome to Cornerstone Financial Planning Ltd

We are Christopher and Wendy Whitehead. We are married with three children and live and work in Burscough, a lovely small town in West Lancashire.

We have over 40 years of combined experience in providing financial advice to our clients and we are passionate about seeing people live life in all its fullness.

Cornerstone Financial Planning Ltd exists to help our clients by giving and delivering best advice.

How can you help?

Money and finance makes up a huge part of our lives, given the amount of time that goes into earning money, worrying about money (whether a lack of money, or having the responsibility of what to do with an abundance of money) and spending money.

By getting our finances organised, investing sensibly using academic principles and available tax allowances, and by knowing what you are aiming for and having a plan – one that can be adjusted as you go, we believe our clients are more able to get on and focus on the other important areas in life more fully.

Who do you serve?

We work with wonderful people who live mainly within a 25 mile radius of Burscough.

Our typical clients are either working towards, or have achieved a solid financial future and require advice with regards to their savings, their pensions and investments and with how to pass on their wealth effectively.

Most people want to know that they are going to be OK and not run out of money, even if an unexpected event happens and that the monies they have are organised and being used wisely.

Why Cornerstone?

We feel the best advice we’ve received is this… to orientate our lives towards Jesus Christ, to seek Him, experience His goodness and follow Him.

We believe Jesus is the Cornerstone, the foundation upon which to build our lives: steadfast, sure, unsinking, unchanging. But unlike a stone, He is not cold nor dead.

In fact, Jesus said, as recorded in John’s gospel, ‘eternal life’ is this, that they may know you [Father God] and know the one you sent [Jesus Christ].

Jesus came to give us life, life in all its fullness.

Do you work only with Christians?

No. We have clients from different backgrounds, many with faith in Jesus Christ, some with a different faith, some without a faith.

Do you offer an annual review service?

Yes. Most of our clients we meet with either six-monthly or annually, depending on their circumstances.

How do you get paid?

Quite simply. We charge a flat fee for providing financial advice and a fixed percentage to implement our advice and for ongoing reviews.
